Old School Smoked Pork Butt

Serves : 6-8 people

Prep time : 10 minutes

Cook time : 8 hours

Smoker Pellets : Hardwood pellets in apple wood

Cut : Five Marys Pork Butt

Ingredients :

5 pound Five Marys Farms pork butt

Kosher salt and pepper to taste

Instructions :

  1. Set the grill to 250 degrees F.
  2. Rub the pork with kosher salt and cracked black pepper.
  3. Cook 4 hours. Remove the meat and wrap tightly in heavy duty foil.
  4. Add 1/2 cup water to the pack.
  5. Return to the grill for an additional 4 hours.
  6. Allow to rest 15-20 minutes before shredding.
