It might seem silly to make your ideal customer a real person, but when you put a name to them and know who they are as a person, it’s much easier to create content that attracts them! Use this guide to start thinking deeply about who your ideal customer is.
Step 1 : Who is Currently Shopping With You?
- Take a look at who you’re currently attracting. Are there commonalities in your current customers? Are more of your customers female or male? Are they a certain age group?
Step 2 : Who is Currently Following You on Social Media?
- Take a look at your insights on social media. What are the demographics that you’re attracting?
Step 3 : What Are Some Words Associated With Your Ideal Customer?
- Take a look at any overlap and consider who you’d ideally want to have as a customer. Write down some personality traits and demographics of your ideal customer.
