Feb 12-18/2023. Maisie got to spend a week with Mariella – a good friend who has become a mentor for Maisie. Mariella is a senior and it’s her last year of high school rodeo. She sold her sweet mare “Tater” to Maisie this year and has helped coach her through learning and clicking with Tater to be smoking really fast runs and getting so much improvement! Mariella’s family are also our partners Passalacqua winery with Five Marys wine and have become really good family friends. Good enough to keep your kid AND her horse for a week AND taking her to a barrel race!! (4.5 hours south of their house, which Maisie ran the fastest time of the event at but hit a dang barrel!) Brian and I drove down to Healdsburg to pick her up last night (6 hours south of us) and stayed at the winery and had such a nice Saturday morning brunch with Jason, Jess & Mariella! Maisie had the best time and is so lucky for this friendship. Rodeo people are such good people… and even better when they make amazing wine and become great friends!
