Father’s Day Gift Guide
I just love this picture of Brian and the girls – everyone says enjoy this time when they’re little, but with the way Brian loves them and the relationships he works hard to build with each one of them – I know they’ll be running into his arms just the same way when they’re all grown up too.
So with that being said… Happy Father’s Day to all of the dads, grandpas, brothers, and father figures in YOUR lives! I hope this gift guide can serve as some inspiration to show them how much you appreciate their hard work, humor, and dedication to their families day after day.
Five Marys Meats
To start, you just can’t go wrong with a box of Five Marys Meats! 🙂 Our Black Angus cattle, heritage Berkshire hogs, and Navajo Churro lambs spend their days on our green pastures and hills rich in minerals with plenty of sunshine and fresh Northern California mountain air. We vigilantly care for our animals as a family and our beef is dry-aged for 21-28 days for a superior tenderness and flavor. We ship anywhere in the United States, directly to your doorstep, so you can experience the difference in the taste of our beef, pork, and lamb.
Keep an eye out next week for our special Father’s Day boxes!
M5 Hats & Bottle Opener
You can’t go wrong with this M5 gear! Stay cozy on cool nights with our classic Carhartt beanies (embroidered with our signature M5!) or try out one of our fan favorite, full fit trucker hats. Pair one of these hats with one our of hand-crafted keychains that are made with genuine leather and a branded mini M5 – each keychain has a bottle opener attached for any chore beer needs!
Carhartt
If you know our family, you know we LOVE Carhartt. It’s just so nice to know that each product you purchase will be quality and hold up well over many years. Here are Brian’s Top 5 Carhartt picks!
The Classic Chore Coat
Here it is! This is a true Carhartt classic. Brian gets SO much use out of his chore coat around the ranch. It’s a heavyweight coat with a blanket-lined inside that is water-repellent, wind-resistant, and warm. Brian still holds onto his original chore coat because it has seen him through so many hard-working days and nights on the ranch throughout the years.
Relaxed Fit Lightweight Short-Sleeve Button-Front Plaid Shirt
You can pretty much always find Brian in one of these button-front plaid shirts! He wears them welding, branding, feeding, working in the shop, date night… everywhere! They are lightweight and have the signature Carhartt patch and utility pocket on the front.
Flannel Sherpa-Lined Plaid Shirt Jac
Brian has a few of these flannel shirt jacs because he gets so much use out of them. Since it’s sherpa lined, it’s super warm while also having the durability of a classic Carhartt work shirt. He’ll wear it alone or layer it underneath his chore coat in the winter. As you can see – a great shirt to wear around the campfire!
Gilliam Jacket
The Gilliam jacket has quickly because a major go-to for Brian. He has it in the color ‘copper,’ which I love. As you can see, he layers this one under his chore coat too. It’s an insulated and quilted jacket, so it’s very warm, but without all the bulk of a heavy winter coat… perfect to throw on for some chore beers!
Waterproof Breathable Knit Cuff Work Glove
We’re a big fan of Carhartt gloves – we have several different pairs around the ranch and also in the shop when we ship our boxes and are running in and out of the freezer all day! Brian loves these knit cuff work gloves for pretty much any ranch work. From wood stacking to handling hay in the snow or sleet – these are the gloves Brian reaches for first.
Give’r Gloves
We love Give’r! I love the company, I love the way the gloves are made, and I love the way they look. You can add a customized brand (so of course I’m a fan…) to any pair and the gloves are built to withstand anything… from grabbing a burning log out of a fire to ice fishing in -25 degree weather. Brian wears his a lot around the ranch in the winter – but they are nice to have all year round! Our favorites are the 4-Season Gloves, Frontier Mittens, Classic Give’r Gloves,
Give’r is also coming out with different colors and products – like hats, clothing, dry bags… so much good stuff!
Savage Sublime
Brandi and Danny, of Savage Sublime, are such a beautiful couple and they make incredible, functional, useful tools. I bought one of her wood boards for myself earlier this year – and I think so many of their products would make awesome gifts for any father in your life.
A classic pocket knife is an essential part of everyday care and everyday travel. No matter the place, no matter the person. It’s also among the greatest tokens of growth and maturity a kid will ever remember being given. Each vintage pocket knife in their current collection is in good working order and is cleaned with acetone and steel wool, but otherwise untouched. What better tool to slip in your purse or pocket than one that has stood the test of time?
Each of their artisan collection axes are made by hand, of recycled mid-century American steel; shaped, cut, tempered, and quenched in Sebastopol, California. Each ax head is stamped with its unique production number, and each handle is made of hand-stained white hickory and fitted to its individual head.
Petzl Headlamp
The Petzl Duo S is truly the Cadillac of headlamps! It’s definitely pricey – $350 base price – but you can usually find 20% off on Backcountry or on Moosejaw. The Petzl Duo Z2 is amazing as well and is almost half the price!
The Duo Z2 is powered by four AA batteries and the Duo S is powered by a 3200 lithium-ion rechargeable battery. The Duo Z2 operates with for lightning modes plus a BOOST mode that teporarily increases the brightness to 420 lumens. The Duo S has five lighting modes and a BOOST mode that puts out 1100 lumens.
Solo Stove
We have the Solo Stove Fire Pit up at camp (the Bonfire and Yukon version). We’ve used them for years and love that they’re portable and smokeless. Since I know what quality products they make, I was excited when they recently came out with a grill. We use it pretty often with our dry aged meat! The 360° portable charcoal grills are a great way for everyone to sit around and enjoy a BBQ together. We really appreciate the short and tall stands they have to adjust the height.
United States Stove Co.
We LOVE using our meats in the smoker. You can grill, roast, barbecue, and smoke with us US Stove Wood Pellet Grill and Smoker. They provide a perfectly steady temperature throughout the whole grilling time and they are super easy to clean. If your family loves trying out different meat recipes, these are definitely worth a look (there are 3 to choose from!)
Bourbon Whiskey
Another great gift I love to give people is a nice bottle of whiskey! There are few things I love more than ending the day with a cocktail in hand and Brian by my side. If your dad or husband appreciates a nice drink too – check out our favorite five kinds – Bulleit Bourbon, Bulleit 95 Rye, Woodford Reserve, Knob Creek, and if you’re local – stop by the Burgerhouse and taste our own Five Marys Ranch Hand and Nothin’s Easy Bourbon. CHEERS!
We hope you find something on this gift guide that the father, grandfather, husband, brother, or friend in your life will love! What are you doing to celebrate Father’s Day this year? Let me know in the comments!
