I don’t take for granted his lucky I am to have these two for parents! My sister and I decided at the last minute to leave our Arizona adventure a night early to fly back to California and surprise my mom for her birthday dinner. It was so worth it!
.
And my thoughtful husband reminded me how nice it is to get time with my parents and encouraged me to stay an extra day just to hang out with them at home. It was a treat.

As an adult “kid” – the time you get and memories made with your parents is a special thing. We made super bowl snacks and played board games and talked around the table until late in the night (well my Mom and I stayed up late, Grampery had to work in the morning and doesn’t have our night owl genes!)
.
The second picture pretty much sums up how I felt just getting a chance to relax and enjoy my parents with no agenda.
.
And the surprise for the 72 year old “Benjamin Button” of a mom on her birthday was magic (swipe for the last slide, she was SO surprised!) Jannie is the best and we are lucky to call her our Mom. You too Grampery! 😘
