What a way to end the rodeo season!! Francie had a fantastic end to her 7th grade California High School Rodeo year with two Team Roping catches with her partner Jhett putting them in 4th place overall in our District.
She earned this beautiful belt buckle and was chosen for the Director’s Choice award given to a kid who really gave their all this season and represented the district with determination and dedication to the sport. That red hat is a special thing and hard earned… along with the belt buckle!
And the top five teams qualify for STATE – she made it!! Can’t even believe it but she’s headed to compete again for our district in May for the State Finals.🥇
Rodeo events teach our youth valuable skills for ranching like how to rope and flank a steer or a calf, so if we need to doctor or catch livestock in the pasture it can be done quickly and efficiently. They also learn how to work together with partners and to represent their district with professionalism, good manners and honor for what they do.
We are so thankful our girls get to be a part of this – and never thought we’d have a 13 year old team roping champ like this girl ! She earned it.
