Carhartt is my FAVORITE brand for working on the ranch, lounging at home, or heading out on date night… all the things! I’ve been a Carhartt ambassador for 5 years now and their women’s line keeps getting better and better.
I used to think Carhartt was just for trade workers (and was a little jealous how cool my construction worker friends looked wearing their worn in gear) but it didn’t take me long to regret not buying Carhartt clothes so much sooner. Carhartt has expanded their brand so much and they are great for ANYBODY no matter what you do or where you wear them.
I just got a huge haul of Carhartt’s 2021 fall line and I want to share my favorites with you all! It’s definitely ‘beanie season’ (at least in the morning and at night!) here in the mountains for Northern California, so I’ve been wearing this stuff nonstop already. (Pictured above is the Relaxed Fit Midweight crewneck!)
I ordered a lot of items online, but also trekked to our storefront in Medford about an hour away for the rest. If you happen to have a store near you, I highly recommend you stop by and try some of them on – their stores are beautiful!
Force Fitted Lightweight Utility Legging
I absolutely love these lightweight utility knit leggings! I know I am always singing their praises, but seriously they are a game changer. This pair is a lighter-weight fabric with less structure. They are super comfortable and even great for layering under bibs or winter pants. They have a side pocket for your phone and a zip pocket on top of it. They tend to be a little shorter in length and are overall great for all year long and any kind of activity.
They come in two colors and I’m wearing a medium (8-10) tall. I’d usually be at least a 10 in jeans – but you want these leggings to fit snug so size down if you are in between!
Force Fitted Midweight Utility Legging
If you’re working in harder conditions or beating up your workwear, I’d go with something with a thicker matieral, like these midweight leggings. They have a little more structure with knee reinforcements and thicker pockets where you’d find jean pockets on the hips and the sides too. They have a high waist band and offer great support (and a little tummy hold!) and are the best things ever for working in.

They come in three colors – black, navy, and dark coffee – and I’m wearing a medium (8-10) tall. Always size down!
NEW Force Fitted Heavyweight Lined Legging
I am SO excited about this new LINED version! They have all the awesome features that you’ll find in the midweight leggings, but with added lining for warmth. These will no doubt be my go-to’s all winter long. These come in black and I’m wearing a medium tall. They are just lightly fleece lined so they don’t add much bulk – but boy are they WARM!
NEW Relaxed Fit Heavyweight Long-Sleeve Crewneck Pocket Thermal Shirt – and Rugged Flex Canvas Insulated VEST
I’m so happy with this new thermal! It has the same look as the classic tee, but it’s tricked out for the cold. It’s soft and relaxed – really nice for layering. Definitely will be pairing this one underneath a vest and definitely with sweats by the wood fire. Ahhh… 🙂 It comes in 4 colors and I’m wearing a large but could easily do a medium.
The quilted vests are also awesome this season! I’m wearing an XL in the Carhartt brown – and the green one in the second photo I got for Francie and it’s an XS – but fits me fine too! Carhartt sizes are very forgiving 🙂
Relaxed Fit Midweight Logo Sleeve Graphic Sweatshirt
I love this classic hoodie! It’s safe to say I have this in just about every color and my girls do to. 🙂 If you’ve never tried it – it’s so thick and cozy – you’ll reach for it all the time! It comes in 14 colors (!) and I’m wearing a large. I also like the men’s version in Small sometimes for even more color choices!

NEW Rugged Flex Relaxed Fit Twill Lined Overshirt
It’s a Shirt-jack – or a SHACKET! This lined long-sleeved shirt is such a great option when it’s not quite sweatshirt weather, but still chilly. It’d be great to wear buttoned up on its own or opened up layered over a tee. It has really nice big pockets in the front and it’s really flexible, so you can be working and lifting without worrying about feeling constricted. This one comes in 3 colors and I’m wearing a large.
NEW Rugged Flex Loose Fit Flannel Shirt
Carhartt flannel is a game changer in the winter This flannel is made with the thickest flannel they offer and it’s so flexible – shoveling snow (or manure), chopping wood, or just hanging around at home – there’s nothing better than a worn in flannel and this is one that you’ll have for years! It comes in 4 colors and I’m wearing a large. The buffalo check in blues is a Men’s Sherpa Lined Flannel – I love them in size S or XS too!
Sherpa Jacket
Carhartt came out with this sherpa jacket last year and it’s so cozy! I love that it zips up/down all the way so it’s easy to take off and layer. It has great pockets and a cozy collar when zipped up. They have new colors this year – and I’m wearing a size large in both. My girls LOVE this one in XS and S too – these sell out quick!
NEW Relaxed Fit Fleece Pullover
If you’re looking for a fleece for the fall and winter – THIS PULLOVER IS IT! So excited about this one. I’ve been wearing mine everyday since I got it. Not only is it just really cute, but it has an awesome button up collar which is always nice to have in the fall. It has a really nice big pocket in the front and there’s a drawstring at the hem so you can tighten it up for extra warmth or keep it loose. This is your new go-to for chilly mornings, hikes, bonfire nights… you name it. It comes in 6 different colors (and 2 patterns!) and I’m wearing a size large.
The blue one I’m wearing below with Francie is actually the MEN’S RELAXED FIT FLEECE – I wear a small in Men’s and love their colors and easy fit too! If the women’s sell out – try the men’s and size down!
Carhartt Beanies
These beanies are a staple in our house. We keep a basket of the classic beanies by the front door to grab on your way outside in the winter… keeps your ears warm and toasty even on a cold 4-wheeler ride – and there are 19 colors to choose from! How cute is Maisie in the pom pom hat!? And loving the red and white holiday version this year too!
NEW Relaxed Fit Fleece Button-Front Vest
I LOVE my vests – ad Carhartt has so many cute ones this fall. This button-front vest is all fleece and so cozy. This one is perfect to wear on its own over a simple t-shirt or layer under your rain gear for an extra layer of warmth. It’s also really cute to pair over a flannel for the days you’re jumping between working and running errands or hanging out in town. This one comes in 2 colors and I’m wearing a size large.
RELAXED FIT CANVAS VEST
I am just LOVING this canvas vest – so cute! Adds some warmth and style to a hoodie and has really nice big front snap button pockets. It looks really structured, which I like, but has a lot of flexibility so you can definitely wear it while you’re working. The brown one is an XL and the green is a XS – very forgiving sizes!
Relaxed Fit Midweight Sherpa-Lined Utility Jacket (& THE LONG VERSION!)
This utility jacket is one of my favorite Carhartt products because the material is just so great for the days you are working out in not so ideal weather. It’s water-repellent and has a fleece lined hood so it keeps you both dry and warm. It’s not super thick so you can still layer a heavy sweater or sweatshirt underneath it in the colder winter months. This one comes in 3 colors and I’m wearing a large.
There is also this long version which is GREAT if you want something a little bit longer – perfect to wear with leggings and boots!
NEW Super DuxTM Relaxed Fit Sherpa-Lined Jacket
If you’re going to buy one all-season jacket – this is probably your best bet! The nylon material is stronger and lighter than the traditional Carhartt duck fabric. It fights off wind, light rain, and the cold. It has two pockets in the front with zippers which I appreciate so I don’t ever need to worry about my phone falling out when I’m out on the ranch!
NEW Super DuxTM Relaxed Fit Insulated Bib Overall
These insulated bibs are going to be PERFECT for fall and winter. It gets really cold here in the mountains and I just know these will be my go-to for early mornings feeding cows (right over my leggings!). They have the classic fit of Carhartt bibs, but with a really warm insulated layer. I think my favorite feature is the zipper at the bottom of each leg, so you can wear your favorite boots and still get a perfect fit. These come in black and I’m wearing a size large.
Yukon Extremes Wind Fighter Fleece – Men or Women’s!
O LOVE this jacket!!! This is a great hooded fleece for those cold, windy days. It’s sherpa lined for extra warmth and it has four zip pockets (so helpful when you’re outside working all day!) I’m wearing both the men’s small (first photo with the logo lower on the jacket) and the women’s large (second photo with the logo high on the chest). Both fit great!
Yukon Extremes Insulated Parka
If you need a SUPER warm winter jacket… the Carhartt Yukon Extremes Insulated Parka is the BOMB! It comes in black and burnt olive and the hood is the best thing ever. I love the length and always grab this one on the way out the door if it’s a COLD morning doing chores!

The BOMBER Jacket!
THE BOMBER JACKET – this is another favorite that I’m so happy. is back this year, and in FOUR colors – including brown, black, white and a super cute distressed PINK! Francie looks adorable in the black bomber!
Love those leggings! Practical and super cute! And you can never go wrong with a car Harry jacket for all occasions, then top with one of those super cute beanies, I love the one with red and grey!

Oh my goodness! This new stuff is gorgeous! I work outside year round in Wisconsin as a horticulturist is the summer, and plow snow in the winter, so layers and clothing that is TOUGH are key for me! I just bought myself (early Christmas gift 😜) the Super Dux Sherpa lined jacket! We just bought property and are moving to Deer Park and building our dream home/life. This will be perfect for the cold winters they get up there. Thank you for the recommendation!

As the wife of a retired Welding high school teacher we love Carhart products! That’s all my husband wore for 32 years of teaching. Personally, I would love the lightweight leggings ( I work with little kids and am on my knees a lot.) and the class is hoodie sweatshirt! So happy that Carhart has added new colors to their clothing.

Any rugged bottoms are a favorite! I’ve been wanting to try these leggings for those cooler days. And the tough jackets are essential for farm/ranch life…I have one I wear every day when I’m volunteering on farms in the fall and winter times (it’s an old men’s jacket from a thrift store).

My Mom taught my sister and I to embrace the men’s section of the women’s is shopped out or the fit is off – I think it could be a “tall woman thing”.

I work outside year round off the coast in Portland Maine and am in love with the leggings! So excited to get a pair of the lined ones to add to my collection. Vests and flannels are also a must. Carhartt is our favorite outerwear. My husband has been wearing it for at least 25 years. He has a really ragged one that he continues to wear…I think it’s 24 years old. The only outdoor jacket that has lasted for my son is the jacket hoodie. Right now, we all have a sweatshirt and wear it when this Texas heat cools down. I need to order my husband a new chore coat.
Well this week my purchase isn’t very exciting but I’m buying carhartt underwear for my husband. Lol. It’s still pretty hot in Santa Barbara county. Love the blog post and I think I need the bomber jacket.

I ordered the black Sherpa jacket last year after your blog post. I think this year we’re going to go with the vest as well as the new flannel shirts! Best thing is my girls and I wear the same size now!! So if I buy it for them I buy it for me ha ha or vice versa!!!
I love this line and it works great for where we live the I love the bigger sizes my son being 6’8” and my husband 6’9” the men’s line works well for them also. I wish we could buy more but when budget allows we always pick up new pieces.

We have been a Carhartt farm family for ages here. I have loved how they have developed more of their line to include us farming women. The Force Knit leggings are probably my favorite thing I own. Wanting to definitely order the new flannel lined ones. Insulated coveralls and jackets are a must have here for Kentucky Winters and they stand up to hard work up and truly just get softer and better with age… Carhartt and farm life definitely go together!

The idea that they have rugged leggings is life changing! I saw them for the first time at our local farm store and they have been on my Christmas list ever since. The ability of having flexibility to work, but not having the thin material most leggings are is a game changer. Well done Carhartt!
Nothing beats the classic hoodie!! I also use their rain gear for our very rainy climate, I don’t see the rain pants on their site anymore but they are the best, have lasted 3 winters.
We love Carhartt in our northern OH winters! The bibs are especially indispensable. I’ve been wanting some of the utility leggings for awhile now, and the fleece/sherpa pullovers and sweatshirts look so good! 🤩

I have had a black pair of the midweight utility leggings for a couple years now. I wear them casually and even with a dress blouse to an interview.
Recently just got the navy color to wear for EMS/nursing work. They were awesome. Lots of pockets, slick looking, comfy and the slight compression on the legs makes a heck of a difference. My coworkers said they were ordering them too!
I’m loving the fleece pullover with the button collar! I LIVE in my carhartt vest, nearly nine months a year here in NW Montana —- it’ll be such a great laying piece underneath plus be so cute and cozy.
The fleece-lined leggings are also added to my cart! The pig story made me 👏 they’ll be great for fall and chasing the sheep (and toddlers) but also for winter under my carhartt bibs.
My husband has one of the older versions of the bomber, he’s had it since high school. But, I’m in love with it and have claimed it as my own 😂 sending him the link right now as a hint that he could have his beloved back if he grabs me my own!

Ok, I started making a list of things I need/want so I don’t go crazy buying things that are a good deal or I kind of like or actually already have… On my list are fleece/winter leggings and a new long jacket to replace my beloved one and I’m loving the carhartt versions of both these! Not on my list is a bomber jacket because even though I’ve been eyeing the carhartt one for over a year, I know I won’t wear it if it doesn’t have a hood, not matter how stylish it is. Alas. The Sherpa Jacket reminds me of the latest fashion trend of the shacket …the famous cross between a shirt and a jacket! My favorite piece is the vest…I find them very useful when running errands!

I live in Florida but love that Carhartt offers lighter weight options for those of us who will usually never see temps below 30😩. My husband and I love their pocket tees and I own the women’s v-neck short-sleeve in every color they make. If I won anything winter-weight from Carhartt I’d love to get their classic hoodie or the brown bomber jacket. My husband would wear their henley when travelling north to PA for work in the winter months. And we’d both love to try smoking some 5Mary’s brisket in our homemade smoker!! Carhartt really has grown up over the years too! It’s incredible how vast and varied the line is now in 2021 compared to when I bought my trusty sherpa lined jacket in Dusty Rose almost 12 years ago now.
I’m super excited to hear they are working on a maternity line–because those Utility Leggings really and truly are the best leggings ever. Just like you say!

I love how versatile each piece is! You can easily wake up and mix and match your work wear and tailor it to the changing weather of the day. Not to mention, it’s not big and bulky and you can seamlessly go from the farm to school pick up to the grocery store without having to change! Unless of course you’re beyond dirty lol! One of the many reasons I love carhartt and their women’s line! I’m loving these new color ways too!

I love that Carhartt is acknowledging women really do work where we have a need for dependable, quality, nice looking work wear. It goes straight into the washer & dryer without any worries and simply gets better over time. I still wear my dads Carhartt coat and think of him every time I stick my hand in the pocket. Love the leggings and new colors.
October is the start of hunting season and that’s when we dig out the carhartts! I love how long they last but it’s definitely time to upgrade my jacket. It looks as bad as Brian’s did but for a short armed girl it’s the sleeves that are worn out the most. I got my mom a jacket that you wore a couple years ago and she loves it!

Oh my! I loooove all my Carhartt stuff especially the leggings, of which I own several pair now. I love seeing you post about all the new items! Carhartt is so versatile and a must for farm work. I live in rural MN where it gets pretty frigid. So whether it’s, farm work, ice fishing, or going out I believe in Carhartt for its durability and great looks they continue to improve on. I have already fallen for a few of the new items and still eyeing up more for Xmas and these harsh winters…..those fleece lined leggings, the new lined bibs, and that fleece pullover. So many great pieces it’s hard to choose just one or one color in any of it 😉

Even though I live in a suburb of a major city I fell in love with Carthartt last year at your influence. I always thought one of my dear friends who sported carhartt for her job with habitat for humanity looked so cool. Love the style and the durability and how it looks better with wear. The Yukon extreme parka would be awesome for the upstate New York winters. I work at a preschool and it would keep me warm on the playground and walking to the library. I got my husband the Carhartt Santa hat a few years ago. Everyone loves it!!!

I love this brand! The quality is amazing and wears well with time! I have my eye on the bids- it’s about the comfort, looking stylish but practical, and keeps ya nice and toasty:) The lined long-sleeve shirt would be a great staple to layer and again it’s cute! Then the pullover and bennies are must haves!! Gosh I love it all and love supporting brands like this one!
My husband does construction and I teased him for being a “brand snob”. Everything is ALWAYS carhartt. He bought me a hoodie and I was conver. Not only are they comfortable, soft, and LONG ENOUGH in the arms and torso(my biggest complaint) they are QUALITY and really last through everything. Now that’s all I wear. The 1/2 zip hoodie with the collar around the hood is my FAVORITE.
The relaxed fit fleece pullover and mid-weight leggings would make such a great chore to hiking combo for cooler weather.
With the Fall I love wearing leggings with flannel shirts and fleece jackets and beanies. Fall is a great time for hoodies as well! Just love ❤️ everything you have shown from Carharts clothing line! The leggings are one of my favorite clothing pieces. Just so much to choose from….

I LOVE the leggings! For so long when I have volunteered at disasters and with Project Rubicon the only pants options have been tactical pants with little or no stretch. The utility leggings are amazing, they hold up, fit under chainsaw chaps and have the best stretch to stay comfy all day 🙌🏻

Love all of them but can’t wait to try out the twill over shirt! Looks a lot like the LL Bean Chamois shirts my husband wears to work in come winter. If they are similar I’m sure the Carhartt version will blow the other out of the park. Also love the look of the white/tan fleece pullover. Also been eyeing the new mustard yellow sweatshirt they realeased. All of these will definitely stand the test of time and weather, as does all Carhartt products.

Love Carhartt! It’s my go to brand for everything warm and durable. I live in my hoodies and I purchased the light weight leggings in the spring and can’t wait to try the heavy weight lined leggings for this winter. I’m also looking forward to getting the fleece jacket for fall and as added warmth for the winter. Really I’m looking forward to adding so many things to my growing collection especially since everyone in my family is starting to catch on to how great the quality and warmth is and are stealing my stuff lol!

Love Carhartt!! It always reminds me of the days when I was younger when my dad worked on a ranch. The older we got we would always run to those overalls/coveralls to bundle up to play Sardines in the snowy cold winter months. We would be out for hours because we were wearing the best! Love finding a good deal and grabbing things when I can. They are the best!

I was just telling my husband we need to make a Medford trip so I can try on the leggings. We have been out foraging alit and I love having the stretch of leggings when climbing over downed trees but would love a little thickness and pockets are a must. I am digging the bomber jacket too!

I’ve loved and worn Carhartt clothing since the days when all you could get was mens clothes but I sported them anyways. I absolutely love that over the years they have developed this awesome women’s line!! I think this year may be one of my favorites. Thanks for the recommendations! My oldest is similar in age and build to Francie so it’s nice to see the pieces on her. My daughter needs new overalls and a coat for riding and chores this winter since she has outgrown hers from last year. I love the quality of Carhartt will allow my younger daughter to use them, too! I may also get her a vest, and I have my eye on one of those sherpa jackets!

These are some awesome staple pieces in this lineup! We recently moved and are needing to buy pieces for much colder weather! Will definitely have to snag a few!

I just love Carhartt! They’ve always been a great company and stand for and with hard working men and women! 🇺🇸 I’m going to try and get into the store (Medford is our home location too) and check some stuff out, and start looking for Christmas gift ideas!

I love the leggings!! I actually first saw them on your page. I grabbed a pair so I could have something that went from morning activities with my daughter, to an afternoon hike and then out to dinner. I plan to grab a new pair for this year too! I think I also need to add a thermal and pullover to the mix too!! 😍😍
